I have to say this because today this has really went up in the Sailor Moon Fandom.
The sense of entitlement.
Especially coming from American Fans.
I understand everyone wants to see Eternal Movies and dying to see them ( I know I am) but people got to chill.
Asking every five seconds when you can watch it is fucking over kill.
Just acting like you can’t fucking wait and acting like spoil brats because no word on internationally when we have first dibs on every season of crystal ( and see how that went with the complaining) is over kill.
I truly believe that it was going to have a world wide release in which it was going to be in theaters the same time ( because lets face it streaming is a haven sent but this supposed to be in theaters) it hit Japan but guess what fucked that up?

Covid fucked that up and was this close to still messing up Japan release.

Is strange how at first crystal / eternal was the most hated and now they want to watch the movies XD I don’t know maybe they’re going to throu more hate when they actually watch the movies
So the Amazon Trio was here for a total of 22 episodes which is the majority of the season since it’s only 39 episodes.
They had 22 targets including Usagi,Mamo and the inner senshi.
The only one they didn’t get was Chibiusa which of course if they did the season would be over since Pegasus is hiding inside of her…
Lets talk about them one at a time
TigerEye - Probably the most problematic thanks to the fact they target young girls, the most annoying with their ridiculous outfits and their pick up lines and had the most targets. He targeted 11 females by himself which included Unazuki,Reika Naru, Ami, Rei, Mako, and also targeted Mina with Hawk Eye.

Which can be seen as borderline pedophilia? Yeah It doesn’t age well at all. Just got on my fucking nerves since he had the most episodes. Since the show audience is pretty much the age of the females that he was attacking.
FishEye- The second most problematic thanks to the fact that he is attracted to guys( which is fine) but targeted them by dressing and posing as a female. I don’t have to go into detail as to why that’s problematic but for the transgender community, that portrayal can be seen harmful and can play into certain stereotypes that is very harmful. Let just say that it doesn’t age well and leave it as that.( I can’t speak for the Transgender community and I’m not going to but just here being an ally.) Even if Fisheye was probably the most interesting character and the reason why the whole trio got their dream mirrors at the end. They had 5 targets which included Mamoru at the end.
HawkEye- The least problematic even if they targeted older women. They had five targets which include Mama Ikuko and USagi. They also targeted Mina with the help of Tiger Eye.Really didn’t do that much since they had the least focus.
Overall view.
Honestly it was too many episodes focusing on them since like I said they have the majority of the season. But also the fact they don’t have equal screen time to focus on them individually. Yes they was in each episode together at the bar but TigerEye got the most screen time since he had the most targets. FishEye at first didn’t receive that much but got the most towards the end and was critical to them getting their dream mirrors since they found out who Sailor Moon was and where Pegasus was hiding. HawkEye really didn’t have the focus on them but come through at the end. But just because they had more screen time as a whole doesn’t mean they were fleshed out villains.
Was their redemption half-assed? To the fucking max.
They really didn’t work towards it until the last three episodes when they found out they wasn’t human but animals. FishEye pretty much did all the heavy lifting in order for them to get it but it still wasn’t really earned to me. They were horrible for the majority of the season but now they realized they are not human now they want to try and become it? No it doesn’t work that way.
Can they be considered as predators? Hell Yes!
The Amazon Trio in the grand scheme of things was pretty much predators. They preyed on people in order to get into their dreams which can be seen as a invalidation or privacy. Especially the fact the person they was trying to find aka Pegasus was the one to give them their dream mirrors. Usagi being the last target and the one to get her dream mirror shattered ( which was only to show that if a dream mirror is shattered the person is pretty much dead) was only a plot device used in order to show how “ good” they are by sacrificed themselves aka the magical orb in order to bring her back. It was nothing dealing with her at all cause we didn’t even see the girls or even Mamo coming to find her. She was freaking alone with just them and that’s not far to her at all..
Did they receive character development and was fleshed out? Not really
The only one close was Fisheye to me. Just because they had more screen time as a whole doesn’t mean they were fleshed out villains.I have to say this twice! lol Yes they got dream mirrors at the end but we don’t know what they dreams are. You would think that would have been something that would have been explored during their run but it wasn’t. They didn’t even know they wasn’t human until the last two episodes which is not enough time to explore each person dreams..
So I’m glad I’m done with them and now on to the Amazon Quartet ( Cough Chibiusa Team Cough)

Princess made this a couple months back and she made some very good points.
One point in particular is with the older dubs they cut a lot content out ( especially queer content in which Princess being queer herself goes in detail with it she really talks about CCS) so you wasn’t getting the full story.
So that’s why it just still baffles me how many people would have been happy if viz would have just got the rights of the Dic/ Cloverway dub and re-released it instead of doing a second redub with the full story, names, and relationships in tract. Even full episodes in tact since in the dub sliced 45 and 46 together to make one episode.
With the Dic/Cloverways we was not getting the full story!
We was getting a story water down because execs feel like kids couldn’t handled certain things and didn’t want the parents to cry bloody murder seeing two girls holding hands…
I grew up with the Dic/ Clowerway dubs but it’s time to leave those dubs in the past and let them be a product of their time.
Those people make me wonder if they really cares about Sailor Moon or they cares more about being children again.
That is what frustrating. That petition I saw is just riddled with entitlement.
It’s like saying “ Thanks but now thanks for redubbing SM intact. It’s not our childhood so we rather have that verison instead.”
I can tell you exactly what it is:
They care about being children again. There’s no actual ‘wonder’ if they do. They literally do. A lot of them are attached to the nostalgia and cannot let it go because they have to be forced to admit they have gotten Old. They’re no longer little kids anymore.
They have responsibilities and blah blah blah,- the point of the matter is they’re not kids and they want to feel like it.
Personally, I wouldn’t mind if Viz had done BOTH. Both had gotten the rights to the old stuff but also redone the entire thing with actual story and plot together and made it available to everyone.
Because on the one hand, I do understand the desire for wanting the old Dub. It was, indeed, part of the childhood/teenage years for a lot of people and that’s a comfort-object thing.
But the part I draw the line at is insisting that it should be the ONLY thing available just because it was THEIR comfort object and therefore no one else should have the pleasure of having a fully re-dubbed story that has everything intact.
And while I find Viz does have interesting choices when they did redub (to be fair I only use this bit as an example because I was comparing it: But in 35? When they were doing the ‘Past ‘ bit, Endymion talks about why the Moon is being attack. In the Dic/OldSub and Resub- he doesn’t mention the longevity bit but in the Viz’s new dub, he says Longevity. So I always found that interesting. ), it’s better in the long haul to have a faithful dub or the Best they can do.
It’s better for accessibility reasons to have it.
It’s also better to NOT have localization of an Anime for the benefit of Western audiences so they can learn what different cultures there are and how they work and expose them to a broader world that doesn’t Cater To Them at all.
And that’s really what it is at the bottom of it:
Viz is not catering to these fans whims, so they’ll throw a hissy fit and tantrum like they ARE the children they wished to be.
And Frankly? It’s rather disappointing that they spent all these years growing up and still are and acting like children.
i find that this people are the same from the ones that hate crystal, because is not his childhood and start whinny and wanted canceled, and well we need too progress think about the present and dont think more of the past, we are in evolution, is bad because the franchise think more to actually make this people like them and not though about having another fandom or attrac new people
when some people said crystal season 3 have better animation XD it make me thing about this XDD haha so crystal season 1 and 2 did better transformations xD(??) sorry im supporting this franchise but the transformation for season 4 well XDD
well in this one i dont know, the finals episodes is just usagi crying and crying but in the manga i feel it more like im going to save my friends and persevere to do it
